But I did sell it soon after buying it - having to use f11 all the time
is a REAL drag...! ;-) Non-zooms are sharp by FAR wider stops, making
them much more practical and versatile for high-quality work. If you
just want to snap-shoot, skip the SLR and get a good P-'n'-S...;-)
A zoom like this gives you the "convenience" of not having to change
lenses (though choosing a zoom FL slows me down...), but to get the best
out of them, a tripod and/or good light are necessary - a rather bad
trade-off, I think...
