I'm not sure the PC110 has a Lanc jack... If not, then
a wired remote would not be useful. I just bought a
Canon ZR1000 with works well on my Sony cameras
(selectable zoom rate + pressure-sensitive + VERY slow
zoom rate available [nice!], and also record stop/start
and manual focus [but no switching between focus modes]).
Try the IR remote - it may work well enough (especially
if you make a small light guide to bring the IR around
the camera to the sensor).
