For Sony *Mini-DV* cameras: no white pixels visible
at 1/60th and +18db gain; a couple of white pixels barely
visible at 1/15th and +18db; 2-3 white pixels quite visible
at 1/4 second exposure ("slow shutter 4" on one-chippers)
and +18db - viewed with lens cap on, camera connected to TV.
All of maybe 15 Sony cameras have been like this, except
for one VX1000 that showed no white pixels...
If you see white pixels at 1/60th and +18db, I would
complain (though the D8 models are considered "lower
in the pecking order" by Sony compared with Mini-DV,
so their standards for it may be lower...).
