They work well for me, though the audio needs EQ in
post to sound good (the cheap Azden mics are rather "dull").

I do - if you read my reviews, you will find I thought the
GL-1 the least desireable of the 3-chippers tried in terms
of image quality and sound quality, the two basics...;-)
