Just a bit of "shading"...;-)
While the DV format has the potential for 540-line
resolution, in practice few cameras approach this
resolution, and most entry-level ones hardly break
400 lines... But, then, most Hi-8 and VHS cameras
don't achieve their lower limits either, so the
"pecking order" still holds here...
