The Canon Optura (in bright light) and Sony TRV-900 can
make high-quality 640x480 still screen images when used
in progressive-scan mode (not great for viewing as motion
video, though...). With others, you either capture only
one of the two fields in the frame (losing resolution),
or capture both (with motion artifacts, due to the scan
line interleaving).
