'Phone signals are hardly either broad-band or
low-distortion - and the pick-up mic is probably
none too good, either... As for ripped audio,
dunno, but if you are not converting from 44
to 48kHz for video, but just using it, it could
sound bad (most good video editors now convert
the audio, though).
