I just tried playing LP-mode tape in a VX1000 by
mistake (it can't play it...), and saw horizontal
banding and jitter effects with motion... Other
ideas: the corners of the image are likely less
sharp even under ideal conditions due to the lesser
quality of WA comnverters in the corners - and to the
greater motion-effect at the WA edges; the shutter
speed may be too high - try limiting it to 1/60th
or 1/125th (AE-S, ND filter in place, maybe a ND
filter added). None of the above, though, would
explain your seeing the three bands of differing
image characteristics. It would be useful to
put some frame-grab samples on a web page, posting
the URL(s) here...
