(Seems like I answered this one, but it is not marked answered, and I am trying to catch up....) Ah, NEVER keep quiet! (You are one with sensible,
solid, backed opinions against which I can throw my totally unfounded,
intuitively-based, off-the-wall opinions! ;-) The Bogan's do tend to be
rather "buzzy", though - even the big ones. Husky (brand) metal tripods,
giant Majestic (well named!), and wooden ones don't seem to be quite so
bad (Gitzo's, Tiltall's, etc. seem to be somewhere in the middle in the "buzzy" range).
