As others have pointed out, an F2AS will meter-couple with AF (and E)
lenses... If yours does not, before mounting a lens without the clip at
f5.6, press upward on the non-AI type coupling on the bottom center
of the meter head until you hear two clicks - the meter will then be
set for stop-down metering. Hold the DOF preview in while metering
(only do this with lenses that do not couple with the meter...).
