Since most commercial photos these days are on plastic coated paper,
the issue is usually one of drying ability on these materials (to
avoid smear, and transfer of ink to another surface). Many stamp
pad inks are designed for paper, and do not dry. Most stamp
makers will stock the correct ink, or will try to help
you find it.
