Dunno - but I took "I want to make just simple background
sounds for movies. I am not interested in making lyrics,
music etc....just sounds" to be fairly definitive...;-)
With a keyboard and a good, simple MIDI program, one can
do a fair amount of "wallpaper music" without much musical
background, and with a WAV editor and MIDI that will
accept your own sounds as "instruments", you can have great
fun, too (making words, meows, splashes, etc. into "notes"
to be played, as I pointed out...;-). If you have access to
MS Music Composer, or a similar "randomized" composer
program, even more can be done. Results MUST be edited, of
course, since most of what will be produced will be, uh...,
not very good - but with a sense of humor, a bit of musical
taste, and some luck, some useful results can be had...
