There was a group of mini SLR bodies made a ways back by Nikon
(FG/FG-20/EM), which, when combined with a tiny 50mm f1.8 E or
(plastic version) AIS, made a very small and light (and with the
FG, nice, with many features) SLR capable of taking very sharp
pictures.
