If you mean: can you produce *very* smooth full-res.
slow-motion - the answer is, "no". If you mean: can
you produce pleasant full-res. slow-motion with
Mini-DV - the answer is, "yes". Try these:
- You can play the footage from the camera in
slow-motion and capture it that way (capture the
sound track at normal speed - you can change the
speed/length of the sound track without changing
pitch in a good sound editor).
- If you use Raptor, download the speed-change
utility (use it without the sound track).
- In editing, select speed/length change (and change
in even proportions only) - try "frame-blending"
in Premiere (though this may not help - do tests
to see what works).
- In editing, try placing a copy at 50% transparency
over the original slow-motion clip, with an offset
of one frame.
