Have you tried capturing footage with the camcorder in
"slo-mo" playback mode? Most good video editors do
have a way of doing slow/fast motion. DV camcorders
cannot (with one possible exception, as I recall, but
with such negatives you wouldn't want to use it...)
change speed during recording, but most will play
back surprisingly good (not perfectly smooth...)
