The high shutter speed of the original is getting in the
way, I suspect... I assume you have tried "frame blending",
though I find this not very useful... You have done what
I would first recommend, i.e., using only even multiple
numbers, like .25, .5, 2, 3. An alternative that may work
better: capture the DV while the camera is in slow-motion
playback mode (there will be no sound, but you can use
sound from footage captured at normal speed).
