Not shorter than .5X, but the Kenko .5X made for the VX-1000 (big front, B&H
and Elite know which one...) is excellent when the aperture is held to f5.6
or somewhat smaller. I have had good luck with two of the five .42X series-VII
fisheye converters I have tried - though I would like to get them coated
(anyone know where...?). These do vignette at the zoom short end, and are not
zoom-through, but sharpness is excellent when zoomed just to the not-vignetting
point (though I needed to modify these slightly to flatten the image field...).
I have no experience with longer converters...
