Camcorder lenses have closest-focus at the zoom "wide"
end - but you can change this by adding a "close-up
lens" to the camcorder lens. A "+3 diopter" is cheap,
though you may need step-up rings to get you from
the 30mm front thread of the PC9 to the commonly-available
close-up lens thread sizes (maybe 37mm, or 49mm...).
If you use good light intensity, and cross-lighting,
your results should be good...
