Ah, yes, "Murphy's law, or somesuch...;-)
I measured the Cavision shade I have, and it is larger than
82mm, but I think smaller than 93mm (I will go measure
it ;-) ----- It is for 85mm-diameter fronts.
BTW, along with the Canon GL-2 announcement was the
announcement of a "scoop" shade for the WD-58. It is
possible that the Sony VCL-0758HG is a slightly better
match for the Sony lens, with a tad less distortion,
but I would need to try them side-by-side, and the
cheaper Canon is very good... (but the cheaper-yet Raynox
.66X is a tad better at the short end, somewhat worse at the
long end than the Canon, and flares much more easily).
