Hi--

>Hello David. Hopefully I didn't ask you this before -- do you have any experience w/the 6X magnification DW-4 finder on your F3s? Specifically -- as an eyeglass wearer -- was wondering how the eye relief is? I'm outside the adjustable diopter range built into the finder. Perhaps I can get a prescription made ocular to insert into the finder -- if possible -- as some do with telescope oculars -- if eye relief is poor (Nikon doesn't have this one spec'ed)

I checked out either the one for the F3 or F4 (don't remember, but probably same optics, but did not like it [aside from the right-angle aspect]
because I could not see the whole field with glasses). It probably doesn't
have facility for adding eyepiece correction lenses, since it is variable, but one could probably stick something on the underside.... The magnification is not, I would guess, a lot above the normal prism -
if you are going for magnification, the 2x eyepiece magnifier may be more useful (though it needs the step-down ring to fit the HP finder, and gets
in the way of glasses....). If you are looking for right-angle, the WL
finder may be best (though the right-angle add-on finder allows for
vertical shooting, but has less magnification). Hope this helps.
