"Canned air" is an environmental "no-no", regardless of what the can says.
A large air bulb with the nozzle applied to the trap material while
squeezing works for me (I separate the trap edges as much as possible
without permanently bending the cartridge shell). I haven't used it, but
I suppose a tooth brush could help. With new cartridges, a percentage
will scratch. I mark these and set them aside. Rarely will another then
scratch film (I reuse my old ones, rather than buy new ones, therefore...).
