As with LP-mode, I would avoid shooting important
material on reused tape that could not stand dropouts,
but otherwise, I have seen few problems with reusing
Mini-DV tape. The dropout rate can be a bit higher,
going from none up to extremely few to none. (I just
shot reused tape in LP-mode for a 2-hour speech, with
no dropouts.) As for multiple plays, some of my Mini-DV
tape has been played maybe 20 times, without problems...
