The zoom is actually quite good, especially if stopped down a
bit with a black paper aperture in the rear. Though the image
will not be as bright as that of a 100mm f2.8, film curvature
effects will probably be more evident with the faster lens.

I am familiar only with the cheaper line of Kodaks (the 100mm lens
is not great, the zoom isn't bad), and some of the Schneiders (I
was not impressed with the 100mm Prolux, but the Cinelux 60 and
100 are quite good - a noticeable improvement over the Kodak zoom).
(I was not overly impressed with one Leitz 90mm Colorplan I tried -
it was not noticeably better than the Kodak zoom, but it may have
been a bad sample.) I would like to hear other's comments on other
projector lenses, also (Navitar, Buhl, etc.).
