Basically, a flat, smooth, white, matte surface gives the best
sharpness, widest angle for viewing, but lowest max. brightness.
The most reflective screen surface (glass beads) offers the reverse
characteristics. "Lenticular" screens offer a compromise. I suggest
trying to view slides projected on each of these types before buying,
if possible...
