for a comparison of various Sony imaging types (with
frame-grabs). The differences, generally, are a sharper
picture, but with worse low-light range and more ugly
artifacts with motion in the 1-CCD models with higher
pixel counts.

NO! TV is an interlaced medium, and PS mode spoils the
motion smoothness, and also, since there is no true PS
at 30fps, the picture resolution in individual frames
due to the interpolation needed.
