Actually, this isn't true, either... Even with a low-quality
medium like VHS, improving the source material improves
the VHS copy quality, if only a bit... BTW, higher pixel
count is not an unmixed blessing - along with the greater
resolution (and sometimes better color) comes more
irritating edge effects with motion and reduced low
light range.
