There are a couple of ways to do a PNP in Premiere, but if
you add "fades in and fades out", the easiest way is
probably by placing the inset video on track 2 or higher,
applying the motion tool to size and place it, use an
appropriate keying choice (the default one works fine...),
then control the fades with the picture "rubber bands"
(seen when you open the track with the triangular "spinner"
at the left edge of the track). Use the "Alt-key scrub"
method to preview the effect, then render it when it looks
right... (BTW, you can also use this method for quad-screen
effects, etc.)
