Ummmm, true, within a given lens perspective type,
but changing lens perspective types, like going
from a rectangular-perspective lens to a fisheye
of about the same FL, will most certainly change
the appearance of the image...;-)

Since many zooms (and some non-zooms) have strong
barrel distortion near the short end of their ranges,
technically, zooming can change the perspective type,
and therefore the perspective in the image...;-)
Just a technicality, though...;-)
