Actually, you can - just set the size you want (720x480 for
mini-DV...) for the preview, then grab a side and the top
and shrink the outside edges until the preview area just
starts to shrink, then back off a bit. The window can
have a fairly narrow border, making P-5.1 layout much more
manageable. Perhaps this was clear, but I do recommend
using two computer monitors with P-5.1a (the extra card
and 15" monitor can be under $200 - a worthwhile expense
for easy layout and large preview-window viewing).
