Sorry, I mis-read "two S-VHS decks" as "two VHS tapes"
(and I holler at others for mis-reading my posts! ;-).
In P-4.2, there used to be a way to extend the timeline
maximum time, but I have not heard of this for P-5.1 or
P-6...
