A 35mm f2 or f1.4... It can handle maybe 80% of what you will
encounter at a wedding, and do it far better than a slow zoom
(weddings are often very DARK!). An 85mm f2 (or so) is a good
second lens. Both will allow you to have some available-light
showing in the photos (reducing the "bare-electric-light-bulb-
in-a-cave" look of pure flash, and allow picture taking during
the ceremony, when flash is usually not allowed. A fast 50mm
is also a useable single lens for weddings.
