Yes. The Azden mic sounds better when it is mounted in
space, like on a mic stand, but a bit of EQ in post can
liven up the sound of the Azden worn on clothes. If I
string out the mic cord (it serves as the transmitter
antenna), and stay within 50' or so with the receiver,
I've had no problems with noise. You can use a single
system plugged into the camcorder mic input for mono on
both tracks, but I prefer to use two Azden systems, one
for each channel. This gives me the possibility of stereo
sound, and some protection against a bad channel... I often
run a second camcorder with two Stenheiser MKE-300 shotguns
aimed very slightly off center. This gives me even more
sound security for live events, and more material to get
the sound in the mix that I want (lapel mics can be too
"dry", camera-mounted mics can be too "wet" - but
being able to mix the two in post, maybe with a little
EQ added, usually produces very nice location sound...).
