No, and yes, but I like sharp lenses, which "excuses" much of the
"after-market" lens pool from being in my collection...
(there are some exceptions, many of which are listed in my Nikkor
evaluation section on my web page [under "I babble"...;-]).

Yes..., though sometimes a cheap gem comes along...;-)
Among off-brand lenses, most of the macro lenses (not
zoom-macro...) and 70/80-200/210 zooms are pretty good,
and the very expensive alternatives to the camera mfgr's
top-end lenses can be good (though generally not as good,
and not with the resale value of Nikkors...). AF lenses
can be used on MF Nikon bodies, though the "feel" is
generally not as good.

You may find my Nikkor list useful...;-)
Nikon has made a LOT of lenses, and good old ones can
often be found at good prices used...
