Yes. As I said in a MUCH earlier post:
"It is normal for Sony camcorders to show 1-3 bad pixels
at +18db and 1/4-second shutter speed (what you would be
using in "super night shot", or in normal color mode in
dark areas with "slow shutter 4" selected [or with
"low-lux" selected]). These show as white, but should
disappear when "super" is switched off, or with going to
"slow shutter 2" (1/15th second) or "1" (1/30th second)..."
I have owned about 15 Sony camcorders, and the above
was true of most of them... Using them at +18db gain and
at the slow shutter speeds electrically stresses the CCD
the most, and this is when marginal pixels will show
problems (by being white); if you see them at +18db and
1/60th or faster, this is close to being an unacceptable
defect for Sony (other brands can be worse) - but if they
appear at +18 and only at 1/4 and 1/8th second (and remain
until 1/15th once they appear [disappearing at 1/30th],
but do not normally first appear at 1/15th), this ***IS***
normal for Sony Mini-DV camcorders, and this is most
likely what you are seeing, since it fits perfectly your
description of what and when you see what you report...
