Non-AI Nikkor PC lenses work fine (unmodified) with AI bodies,
though they may nudge the AI tab on the body a bit. When putting
the lens on the body, check to see that the slight bit of pressure
of the PC lens on the tab has not moved the tab from its non-engaged
position (some non-AI PC's contact the tab, some don't).
Hope this helps.
