If the computers are physically not too far apart, cheap network cards
can be added... I thought networking our three computers was silly - but
we use it all the time now for shoving files around the house...;-) It is
useful, also, for time-tight video projects,
since time-consuming renderings or project details can be done on
one computer while overall editing continues on another (since the
material is not being captured or returned directly to the camcorder,
but just worked on, the second computer can be a pretty modest
affair and still be quite useful...).
