This may have been covered before (sorry, if so!), but there have been such
wonderful American car names as "Nova" ("doesn't go", in South-Americanese),
"Citation" ("traffic ticket"), "Caprice" ("joke"), and my favorite of all,
for a new electric car, "Impact" ("crash"). Since all of these are General Motors Corp. names, I suspect there is a Chrysler or Ford saboteur at GM.....
But, then, BN and I often have fun making up silly-but-authentic-sounding
Japanese car names, since they are often so odd/ugly, like the "Toyota
Controlla", etc.
