Yes....;-) My Spark system seems quite stable
(one must save often in Premiere 4.2 - failing to do
so will precipitate a crash [but none occurs otherwise]).

30 seconds (while still on 'net, with newsreader
open...) - Premiere 4.2, Spark, AMD K-6 233, 96 megs
EDO, Abit AX-5 MB, ATI Xpert VC, two IBM 9-gig SCSI drives
(with Adaptec 2940), and one IBM Deskstar 8 IDE (these
work fine for mini-DV, and are CHEEP! [no need for
SCSI's with mini-DV - get fast IDE's! ;-]).
