Most of the recent Sony Mini-DV camcorders, even the
very smallest, do not pick up much (if any) motor
noises with the built-in mics (they have noise-canceling
circuits) - though in a small, hard-surfaced room, or if
hands are near the mic, you may hear recorded the reflected
camera sound...
