I find Premiere, at least, a very "horiontal"
program. Since I primarily work on the timeline
(but I like a full-res hardware-overlay monitor
window in addition to a nearby 20" TV, both run
off a Canopus Raptor), I want it high, and especially
wide! For a screen-grab of a layout for P-5.1 on
two 17" tube-type monitors (at 1152x864, 32-bit,
with a Matrox G400 dual-head card), go to:

(I have since moved a shortened navigator window
in under the preview window to allow for a full-height
timeline window - as a result, all the available
screen "real-estate" is now being used...)
