Read what DMC has to say on "monitors", above...
For computer monitors, I prefer two monitors
(17", set for 1152x864 32-bit), since Premiere
is a very "horizontal" program... Curved-screen
is OK, though I like the flat-screen tube type
(can't stand the colors of flat-panels, yet...;-)
for sharpness for the timeline (I run the preview
window full-res., with an additional 20" TV on the
side). Used 17" monitors are cheap around here
($70 +/-), as are second video cards or a decent
dual-head card. The extra space is worth having.
