128 is generally enough for Premiere on a PC - if you
become aware of a HD being used as a swap file while
you are working with Premiere, you need more (unlikely,
though...).
I did find that more RAM seemed to help when playing
without rendering multiple audio tracks that were both 12-
and 16-bit mixed, with EQ's applied - but rendering the audio
tracks before playing clips also solved stability problems
with that.
