The megapixel CCD camcorders do not have particularly
good low-light range (the pixels are very small
and relatively insensitive...). The PC110 does have
night-shot mode - engaging it (and the B&W effect) does
give you a good-quality B&W image in lower light than
can be used for color. You can also (with either
color or night-shot), use a lower shutter speed
(1/30th and 1/15th look OK with motion that is not
too fast, and the increased picture defects may be
offset by the better color and/or finer "grain"...).
Turning off the stabilizer will also help in low light.
