The megapixel rating is for stills only - for motion-video,
the standard resolution for NTSC Mini-DV is 720x480, and
it is a rigid standard (there are no exceptions - except for
some camcorders that produce black bands on the sides of
the image, but these still have a total resolution [including
the black bands] of 720x480).
