Hi--

I just read your article on this web site http//www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/sony_dcr-vx2000.htm. I have been
trying to find one technical information on the subject camera with no success. Can you tell me the
resolution(s) for the digital still pictures for this camera? I set the camera to very fine resolution, but when I
checked the properties of the file, it said it was only 640 X 480. I thought it would be a lot better than that;
that's less than one megapixel. Thanks in advance for your time and support.

Thanks,

The maximum is 640x480, but at very high quality. The results are
mainly useful for the web (I use it for quick illustrations, or
for 3-D images for my web page), but nearly useless for printing.
Acceptable 4x5s can be made from the Memory Stick images, or the
file can be interpolated up slightly (2X) and sharpened for slightly
larger prints. BTW, cameras that claim higher resolution produce
best results at 640x480 also - the larger images are excessively
noisy...
