I have not seen the review, but being a magazine review,
regardless of reality, it will have said:
A) The Canon ZR50 (or anything else - substitute any
model you want...;-) is the best thing since
buttered bread.
B) It has the best picture they've seen since the last
camera they reviewed (but the next will also be
the best....;-).
Magazine reviews are rarely useful for more than
showing pretty pictures of the "products", whatever
they may be, and for seeing descriptions of the
features (both of these can be had from the company
sales literature, in briefer form - look elsewhere in
the same issue for the full-page ads of the gear
"reviewed"...;-). For comparative reviews of actual
performance, look elsewhere (do a google search on
ZR50 NG posts and comparative web reviews that include
it, if any...). Best: try it out in a store (compared
with a similar Sony Mini-DV model, if possible - you
might be surprised by the performance difference...;-).
