Either of the above lenses will be fine down to about 1:1 (though the shorter front space of the short lens will make lighting harder).
Once you pass 1:1 (24x36mm subject area), you are entering a more specialized and difficult type of photography. The 60mm performs very well with the TC201 2X converter down to 2X life size (12x18mm subject),
at about f11-16, with the 105mm performing a little less well, but
probably well enough. Beyond 2X, more specialized equipment is needed for first-class results, though adding tubes and Nikkor "T" achromats
to the above may get you through....
