It is not the lens size that counts (it's light-gathering
capability is specified by the maximum f-stop available on
it, regardless of physical size...), but the CCD size, type,
and pixel-count (which, if optimized for sensitivity, along
with suitable electronics and a "fast" lens), makes for a
camera with good low-light sensitivity (though not
necessarily the best-quality image...).
