Hmmm, I sure missed the earlier post...!
As I have posted several times (sometimes www.dejanews.com
is kinda useful...;-), I have used the DPS Spark card and
ver. 2 Spark software to make long mini-DV videos (and then
VHS copies...) without glitches, etc. 1-1.5 hours is OK,
and I'm working on a 2+ hour video now...!
BTW, if you are just getting into NLE, and a DV camcorder
is a possibility, mini-DV editing sure solves a lot of
problems when you get to the computer end (and the lack of
generation losses is worth the price of admission - and that
price is cut by having smaller file sizes for similar
quality, and by being able to use UDMA drives instead of
SCSI drives...).
