I have not tried line-level recording with it, but my
Panasonic AG-EZ30U appears to have a menu selection
for -20db. That may be enough, or it could possibly
be combined with a simple pad to drop it enough more
to work. (BTW, I posted a piece today with comments on
several Sony and Panasonic mini-DV camcorders...)
